The following issues are with my LCD display in the instrument cluster of my 2002 BMW 560.
I occasionally can make out every option that is dimly shown on the LCD screen, including Inspection, ODO, etc.
The dimmer adjustment is ineffective when this shows.
The bottom horizontal line of the F (Fahrenheit) is usually absent when I go to the temperature screen, which slightly mutes the numbers on my distance. The correct temperature is shown
The display briefly went entirely dark on occasion for between 5 and 10 seconds
I spent several hours trying to remove the battery, and I even took the cluster out. Could this be a faulty LCD in the display? Any further recommendations?
