My 2000 BMW 750 cluster stopped operating when I was traveling yesterday without any prior notice. The needles are trapped where the mechanism failed. When I arrived at my location, I turned off the car, but when I went to start it again, it wouldn't start. Then it ran after a brief delay and another attempt.
I examined the fuses at home (10, 34, and 43). Nothing. Then I went through each fuse individually. Everything is in order. Nothing changed after attempting to unplug the battery for 10 minutes and then connect it back in. I removed the cluster, waited a little while, and then plugged it back in. I believe I heard the electronics operating, but the cluster remained unchanged.
