My 2000 BMW 740 auto had a "dead" instrument panel when I acquired it.
Battery disconnected; new, bigger battery installed. The same. Dismantled cluster to discover some corroded/overheated "wiring."
I was able to locate the same component number from a nearly comparable automobile nearby. I installed and connected the battery, but now my half functional cluster is accompanied by additional broken components (e.g. temperature guage, outside temperatire monitor). Using test item 2.0, I tested the cluster, and everything appeared to be in order. We would appreciate any assistance.
