2013 bmw 135 defective ECU

2013 bmw 135 Due to a defective ECU I was attempting to cause the failure by warming up several components with a hair drier; as a result, when I heat up the ECU, the car enters safe mode; when cooled, no problem. I did this a several times and got the same result, thus I believe there is a faulty connection inside the ECU. I opened it, but the printplate is gleued and would not come out... Any ideas on how to solve this? There is no one locally who can fix ECU's, and buying a new one is out of the question due to the price @bmw, over $ 2000! require assistance
