According to what I've read online, changing the ECU computer entails more than simply purchasing a used one and swapping it out. I heard that if I take one from another car and try to put it on mine, it will disable the car since the dimensions don't match. Is it necessary/possible for a dealer to reprogram a "used" computer? I'd love to acquire one from a junk yard and then just exchange them, but from what I've read online, that won't work. Is there anyone who knows anything unusual about the 2008 Toyota Corolla?
