I have a Maytag quiet clean that only partly fills and does not spray unless I manually add 2-3 cups more water. This appears to be a timed inlet valve, but I'm curious how it would function with different input pressures. It appears to cycle OK, but it produces a lot of noise, and the dishes remain dirty since the water level is too low to obtain a spray. If I can find a replacement valve for the Whirlpool 9902628, could you please advise if this will solve the problem?
Try this unplugged dishwasher, turn off the water, and access the inlet valve after removing the bottom front panel (4 screws). A little snug you are able to completely detach the inlet valve.
Then removed the 4 brass screws holding the valve together You will see a fine mesh screen filled with gritty particles, and rinsed it out with a water spray followed up with compressed air on the screen.
put it back together and hope it works.
