Hi - new to upfix but glad to have found it! I have a Bosch SHP65T55UC/07 dishwasher that WAS throwing error E29. Currently its not throwing any codes, its just "running" constantly. By running, I mean that the red floor indicator light is solid and illuminated, and the wash cycle started... but there is no action or sound. I do not hear the drain pump turn on, even when I cancel out the cycle and it would typically engage the pump.
The Bosch manual states E29 is an electrical fault and not an issue with the unit. Wall outlet is functioning fine, and just bought a multimeter to check power at the control board after work this week. Shortly before this error, we had an error with the drain pump. I removed the filters, cleaned them, checked for debris and reassembled. Unit worked for a few washes before throwing E29. Research points to the power control board possibly being bad. We replaced the drain pump as it was relatively cheap. Checked and suctioned the drain pump where it attaches to the sink to ensure there wasn't a clog. So now we are left with the Power Control board. Unknowingly ordered an UNPROGRAMMED board... so if the board is bad, I fear I'm going to have to purchase another *programmed* board and hope I can sell the unprogrammed someday on eBay. The unprogrammed board requires programming from the "iService" application, but I can't find any info on that.
UpFix doesn't have my model number listed as a possible repair. I'm going to contact them to see if we can send in our board or better yet, send in the unprogrammed board to just be flashed. I realize the easiest and at this point, most cost effective, option was to bring in a service tech, but a family member's medical issues make that very difficult so we usually (successfully) DIY. Thankful we did not go into business as dishwasher repairmen!!
Any recommendations here? Is anyone familiar with the iService app used to flash the chip in the power control boards? Seems like a super easy solution if we can find someone with access. I'm in IT so am familiar with the general programming / flashing process.
Natalie Thank you for reaching out. Can you post a pictures of control board please. Both sides So i can examine it. Its hard to diagnose exact problem over the internet
