2006 bmw x5 My central locking system has failed. The remote control does not lock or unlock the vehicle.
The center console locking button is inoperable.
With the key, I can lock (and open) all doors save the driver's door.
The central locking system fuse (#53) was NOT blown.
My independent mechanic believes it is the Body Control Module (GM III). Does anyone have any other thoughts or recommendations before I spend several hundred dollars replacing it?
