How to Fix a BMW X5 ABS Module - 1999 to 2006 (E53)

For those looking to repair a BMW X5 ABS Module for a 1999 - 2006 E53 model.

There are two ways to get to the ABS Module, (1) Going through the headlight housing which is the easiest way and (2) Going through the hood. 

Going through the headlight housing. (RECOMMENDED)

1. Remove the headlight and bracket
2. Pull the radiator pipe conector rubber off the clamp
3. Unplug ABS Module Plug
4. Using T20, remove ABS Module bolts
5. Slide off ABS Module
6. Send in ABS Module to UpFix to get repaired

Going through the hood.

1. Open Hood
2. Drain the coolant
3. Unbolt your coolant reservoir
4. Unbolt your power steering and oil filter housing
5. Pull out housing which has three bolts
6. Take off the proper hoses so we can get to the ABS Module
7. Remove coolent hose from pump next to ABS module
8. Unplug ABS Module Plug
9. Using T20, remove ABS Module bolts
10. Slide off ABS Module
11. Send in ABS Module to UpFix to get repaired
