1999 GMC Suburban My money's on the ABS module.
I blew the fuse. This will permanently activate the light, but it will reduce the sporadic ABS outbursts and loss of breaking power. If this works, the module is to blame. I can drive without ABS for as long as I want... or as long as you can tolerate the light being illuminated.
Scanned for codes 81 and 13, flashed three times, and 81 is the sole stated code, indicating that the brake switch circuit is open or shorted. 68 indicates a locked motor or a shorted motor circuit, while 86 indicates a shorted anti-lock indication.
