The ABS light on my 2012 Jeep Liberty came on. Jeep drives perfectly, therefore I speculated that it may be a wheel sensor. The battery was reset, but it turned back on. I took it to my mechanic, who indicated the ABS module was to blame. It's a pricey fix with parts and labor; I was quoted $2,000 for it.
I'm now seeking feedback on whether or not I should get this corrected.
I really detest all dash lights, but a $2000 repair seems a bit excessive. It's a jeep that's 10 years old with almost 100k.
Does anybody additionally know how this could impact inspection? Additionally, if anyone in the tri-state region knows where I can get this mended for a lot less money, I'm all ears!
