My girlfriend's 2011 Cadillac Escalade has a faulty ABS module, and despite checking the forum and the internet, I'm unable to determine if the module must be programmed to the car upon replacement. I'm curious since I've done a couple replacements on BMW M5s that require their proprietary software and all that nonsense to code the module to the chassis/VIN before it'll work. If it's as simple as changing the module and clearing the ABS/DSC codes, I'll be OK. Her store wants $700 to do it, which I'd want to avoid if at all possible.
Thank you ahead of time.
