2011 Audi Q5 ABS Module question. the part number on my module is 8R0 907 379 H. On your page for the repair service, it says it is compatible with 8R0 907 379 C. Please confirm that you can repair mine with this part number. the problem the car is exhibiting is that it is locking up the brakes on its own. While it was in our repair bay, we changed the ABS Control Module/Hydro unit and programmed it. Then it immediately locked up the brakes and we had to unplug the ABS Control Module/hydro unit to get them to release. Our plan is to put the original ABS Control module / hydro unit back in the car after you repair the Control Module. Is this something you can fix?
Normally an EBCM will not cause the brakes to lock up for no reason unless there is a short in the EBCM. Normal rule 1. ABS modules stop brake lock-up (keep brakes from locking up to come to a safe stop). Traction control can cause some brake pressure differences in pressure and Torque removal from the ECM (stop wheel spin). Hard to say you can send the module in for repair, it might or might not work. Sorry, that is the best way to describe it for you. Brake lock-up is normally a hydraulic issue (sorry we don't work on ABS hydraulic units) rather than an electronic issue.
This is what my technician was thinking too – that this was an issue with the hydraulic side of the ABS Hydro unit. If this problem isn’t a normal issue for your Control Module repair business, then you are probably right that this is a hydraulic issue. I am definitely going to be back though; it is a much better option for our customers to fix their control modules then replace.
No problem. We hope to hear from you on any module repair services that you may need in the future.
