OK, I'd want to turn off the ABS light because it's been on for a long. I'm receiving a code for "ABS module internal failure," among other things. It will be expensive to buy a new unit.
I'm sitting here with a 2007 Jeep Patriot with the same engine, gear ratio, etc. According to what I've read, I'd need to ha
ve a replacement device flashed with the gear ratio and perhaps the VIN. I wouldn't think I'd need to get it programmed if all that's needed is the gear ratio to be encoded, and the parts Jeep has the same ratio.
Anybody who is aware of what I require?
