Symptoms of a 2007 BMW 528i with DSC: The ABS, Brake, and Check Engine lights would illuminate once the vehicle reached operating temperature. Furthermore, the speedometer would stop working, as would any display or indication that relied on speedometer performance, such as the trip meter, odometer, fuel efficiency meter, and so on.
After replacing the rear speed sensor, a local independent repair shop with a strong reputation and award-winning service confirmed through diagnostics that it was the ABS Control Module. A price of $1,600 was quoted to replace and reprogram the Bosch 5.7 ABS Control Module.
