This DTC will set if the current VIN does not match the broadcast VIN.Cause:

- ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE NOT INITIALIZED
- POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) VIN NOT PROGRAMMED
- ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE
- POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
Dodge DTC Code C2202 error definition is: Original VIN Mismatch / Missing
This DTC will set if the current VIN does not match the broadcast VIN. This could be because the original abs control module was replaced with a WRONG abs module (meaning part number is not the same). If the part number is the same then you will just need to have it programmed to your vehicle. The programming is done on the vehicle. However, if the abs module was replaced and the part number is not the same, then the programming will most likely not work.
