We have a 2005 Pilot with the same issue; it randomly loses the ability to accelerate at high speeds (like, 70 on the expressway). It doesn't "die" because the lights, radio, and so on are still turned on, but without acceleration, we have to pull over immediately. We had a few close calls (this has happened 6+ times, perhaps up to 9) but always made it to the shoulder safely. When we switch the car off and back on, it will drive again, but the lights will remain on. We've been advised that the ABS module has to be changed, which will cost $1700. Please let me know if you have any recommendations.
