My 2005 Pilot recently illuminated the ABS, VSA, CEL, and VTM-4 warning lights.
The flashing ABS light test (OBD-II pins 4 & 9 shorted) produced Code 17, indicating an LR sensor issue. A multimeter test revealed an open circuit on the sensor.
I replaced the Dorman sensor and then reset the problem codes.
Following a short test drive, there was a groaning noise from someplace beneath the hood immediately before all four lights came back on.
VTM-4 Code 23 with ABS Codes 18 and 84(?)
My hunch is that the problem is caused by a defective ABS modulator pump.
I've reset the codes multiple times, but the same problems persist.
