Bosch # 0 265 900 046 was reporting fault communicating with ECM
Van would start and shift correctly until it warm up. Then shifter would lock in P and when overridden and shift to D. Tranny would only shift into R or 2nd gear (limp home mode).
I removed the ABS module top cover to inspect the wires and notice a few wire welds were weak and some 3 weld broke.
Can you still renew the ABS module?
Normally if the vehicle is having an ABS issue the ABS light will come on. A speed sensor can cause a Tranny issue. We do work on that module
ABS and ASR lights are on but sometimes after not when tranny is shifting correctly. After warmup, next restart shortly after, Van would be in LHM for some time (sometimes overnight) before it would shift correctly.
Forget code from OBD scanner but it's something like CAN bus can't communicate with ECM.
If you are having communication issues with the ABS module yes we can look at that for you. You are correct it can cause other modules to have issues because they are unable to see the vehicle speed. Send the module to us and reason for repair communication issues.
