The traction control and ABS lights were both illuminated on my 2011 BMW 335i. . I took it to my normal mechanic, who was having difficulty reading the problem messages. I immediately brought the car to a nearby BMW dealer, who was able to locate the problem. He claims the ABS module is the source of the problem after ruling out the wheel control sensor. The module costs $950, including labor. Then he informs me that when these arrive, they are sometimes not programmed for the specific model and that there would be an extra price of $295 if it needs to be programmed. Is it just me, or does this seem suspicious?
