My 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee has 120k miles on it. It is the 3.7 L version. Recently, the "Trans over temp" warning and the brake lights both illuminated. Since then, the speedometer has stopped working and is making it difficult for me to shift gear beyond roughly the third gear (Rpm reaches about 3 or 4). I took it to my mechanic, who said the ABS control module is malfunctioning. Has anybody encountered similar difficulties? Don't want to go out and get that pricey module, but that's not the issue. Please assist!
